Cookie Notice

We are providing this Cookie Notice in support of our commitment to respect your privacy and be transparent about the information we collect from you. We encourage you to read this Cookie Notice in conjunction with our Privacy Notice so you have a full understanding of IOTAS’ data management and privacy practices.

Technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, pixels, and scripts are used by IOTAS, Inc. (“IOTAS,” “we,” “us”) and our tracking utility partners. These technologies are used to analyze traffic, including the time/date of use/visit, the time/date of last use/visit, the pages viewed, the referring site, and other data. We also use them to deliver our Apps, protect against unauthorized access, and monitor use of the Apps so we can better understand the needs of Apps users. We use these on our Website to administer the Website, understand what areas of our Website are most interesting to Website visitors, measure our marketing efforts and to gather demographic information about our customer base.

As is true of most software applications and websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. This information is used to analyze use trends, to track users’ movements around our Apps and Website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We use various technologies to gain these insights, including cookies and web beacons. A “cookie” is a small text file that is stored on an individual’s device (either a computer or mobile device) when he or she uses a software application or visits a website. Cookies then send information back to the software application owner or originating website on each subsequent visit or use, or to another website that recognizes that same cookie.

We also use “web beacons” (also known as “clear GIFs” or “pixel tags”) or similar technologies on our Website and in marketing communications to enable us to know whether you have visited a web page or received a message. A web beacon is typically a one-pixel, transparent image, located on a web page or in an email or other similar type of message, which is retrieved from a remote website and verifies an individual has viewed a webpage or received a message. Web beacons help us understand whether you arrived at our Website from an online advertisement, to measure the success of our email marketing campaigns and to improve Website performance. Web beacons typically rely on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functionality.

We may also use, “session variables,” which are used temporarily in your system cache to enable ease-of-use for both the Apps and Website during your interactions with us. Examples of such information are automatically produced alphanumeric numbers held during your session with our Apps or on our Website to facilitate page-to-page transactions.

There are a variety of types of cookies including first-party, third-party, session and persistent. First-party cookies are those cookies set by IOTAS and third-party cookies are set by our third-party vendors. Additionally, “session” cookies are temporary and only stored on your device while using our App or visiting our Website and “persistent” cookies are stored for a specific time following your use of our App or visit to our Website. Cookies perform different jobs, such as allowing you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving a user’s experience with a software application or website. Our Apps and Website use the following categories of cookies:

Essential Cookies. These cookies are necessary for our Website to function properly and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, language choice and customizations, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of our Website will not work if you block these cookies.

Analytics Cookies. These cookies collect information about your use of the Website and allow us to count visits and sources of traffic on our Apps and Website so we can measure and improve their performance and functionality. They help us know which features of our Apps are used most, which pages of our Website are most and least popular and help us record any issues you have with the Apps or Website and determine whether our advertising is effective.

Social Media Cookies. These cookies allow you to share information from our Website that you find interesting using social media sharing buttons (such as the Facebook “Like”) on social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or Twitter. This information may then be used by the social media network to deliver targeted advertising to you.

While these technologies are used to optimize your experience with our Apps and Website, you may opt out of allowing certain cookies by changing your browser settings so that cookies from our Apps or Website cannot be set. Please note that if you delete, block, or otherwise restrict cookies and then use a different computer or Internet browser, you will need to renew your cookie management choices.

Also note that certain cookies are required for our Apps and Website to function properly. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the Apps or our Website will not work if you block them.
